zyGrib

Hi forum,

Using zyGrib 3.9.2 on Ubuntu oneiric 64bit I get the following error when trying to load a GRIB-file issued by the Croatian Hygrological Center (DHMZ) I get the following error in a popup window:
"File xyz.grb - Cannot open file - it's not a GRIB file or contains unrecognized data or ..."
The same file opens fine in other GRIB viewers and OpenCPN on Ubuntu.

The terminal shows the following information when trying to load the GRIB file:

... same information repeated for every record up to record 146, followed by:

DBG MblueReader.cpp: 36: openFile(): MblueReader::loadFile 'xyz.grb'
DBG Terrain.cpp: 563: loadMeteoDataFile(): ERROR: unknown file type

File is attached.
Any hints?

I suggest that you use a recent version that work well and is already deb packaged:

Hi,
It's a choice: zyGrib does not displays grib files when it does not knows the meteorological center,
because there are a lot of suspicious grib files on internet.
At this time, it does not knows Croatian Hygrological Center grib files.
If these data are freely distributed, I can probably do something to change it,
but I don't know how and where to retreive these files. It is a prerequisite.

Domh is right: zyGrib 3.9.2 is a very old version. There has been much improvement since.
