Updating zyGrib on (K)ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Hello all,
yesterday I found out that the installed version of zyGrib (3.9.x which came from the Ubuntu archives) does not work anymore.
I checked on the zyGrib web page for new repositories. (I should mention that I'am not really a Linux expert).
The post from Doc Hausser there shows a command:
I was not sure what to do with it. In the terminal window I always got the message that the command "deb" is unknown.
After reading some other forums I added the following to /etc/apt/sources.list
After that I updated all the software (two times on Ubuntu with Unity) and I got the latest version of zyGrib.
Maybe there are some others that might want to do the same.
