Incorrect precipitations data in GRIB (possibly new NOAA version)

Post by hujer » 19 Jun 2019 14:42

Since 13.7. precips forecast data are unusable. Total Precipitation values looks like being cumulated and not 3hr-interval computed.

How to reproduce the issue: choose any location in the App, show the meteotable e.g. or chart and watch the precip values. After the first nonzero value all other hour/intervals is "cumulating" the precip value from the previous date/time. By this you can see that sometimes even there is nearly 0 (zero) cloud cover, precipitation value shows e.g. 5mm/h and other funny results...

I would like to know whether it's a problem with data on Zygrib server or on NOAA side (maybe they changed something)?
Can we expect a fix?

PS. It's probably due to the change of the Upgraded GFS with FV3 core which starts around 12.6.2019

Hi,
We are developing a solution, at our speed, when we have some spare time.

Can we expect a "hello" or a "hi" or a "hola" or any other greeting on your part before your complaints ????
You are not discussing alone with your screen!

Hi and thanks for your answer.
I've just copied the text from another thread where I even thanked for your service you do ;) but nevermind.
And yes, you're right, you should slow down and take a break. At least you will get a better mood...

Regards

This bug is fixed since the 2019-06-20 06h run,
but there may still be others, or not.
Thank you for reporting it.
