By chance i found it last week and i am very happy using it.
For a sailing trip to begin mid October i have also ordered gribs from the german weather service DWD, because they are from a different weather model so they offer a different view. The service is not free but depending on size of area just a few euros/week.
I have the same problem like viewtopic.php?f=3&t=192 zyGrib will not open them, iExplore (the free LT version) opens them just fine.

edit - i tried 2 times to attach a sample which can not be opened, it looks like i had no success. /edit
