Hi,
I think having the zyGrib functions inside QGIS woul be a huge leaf forward for many users.
I'm available for suggestions, testing, and some help if this is interesting for you.

Here we speak french or english, as we want, as we can, but we never forget that we discuss between humans.
Do not forget the magic words: hello, hi, thank you, etc.
Rude messages are rejected and remain unanswered.
It is often necessary to be patient because there are many other activities even more exciting in our life.

So, no interest, what a pity! Actually I think moving to a QGIS plugins will have a number of advantages, and far less burden for the developers.
Please let me know if you have any interest, and I'll try to help.
Merci.

Actually, at least one plugin https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/crayfish/ already reads GRIB files, so it should be easy to replicate zyGrib functionalities.
